A tragic road accident in Nyakach, Kisumu County, has claimed the lives of at least four people, including three pupils, leaving several others injured. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning along the Sondu-Katito highway in the Kibuon area.

Reports indicate that a 14-seater matatu, transporting pupils from Ober Boys Primary School, lost control and collided with an oncoming truck carrying sugarcane. The impact of the crash left the matatu extensively damaged, with its windscreen, seats, and windows shattered. In contrast, the truck sustained minimal damage, highlighting the severity of the impact on the smaller vehicle.
