•The placement is for students who took the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and want to apply for degree courses. •It also includes students from the years 2000 to 2024 who are looking to apply for Technical and Vocational Education or Teacher Training Colleges (TTC).

Good news! The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its application portal for the 2025 academic year. If you are a 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate and want to continue your studies, now is the time to apply for your preferred courses at universities, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions, or Teacher Training Colleges (TTC).

Who Can Apply?

✓2024 KCSE Candidates: for degree programs

✓KCSE Candidates from 2000-2024: for TVET and TTC programs

How to Apply

°Visit the KUCCPS Portal:

°Go to KUCCPS Official Portal.

°Log In: Enter your KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password.

°For the password, you can use your KCPE index number or your birth certificate number.

°Select Your Course: Browse through the available courses.

°Submit Your Application:

°Review your selections and submit.

Available Institutions:

✓KUCCPS works with 40 public universities, 29 private universities, and 263 public colleges. Public universities are eligible for government scholarships and loans from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB). Private universities qualify only for HELB loans.

Recently, the Court of Appeal allowed the government to proceed with a new university model, ensuring a fair selection process for all applicants.
