    TSC Announces 24,000 Junior School Internship Vacancies

    The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 24,000 internship opportunities for teachers in junior schools as part of efforts to strengthen the implementation of the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). The programme will offer successful applicants a monthly stipend of KSh 20,000, subject to applicable deductions.

    To qualify for the internship, an applicant must be a Kenyan citizen, hold at least a Diploma in Education, have a minimum mean grade of C+ in KCSE including C+ in two teaching subjects, and be a registered teacher with TSC.

    During the verification process, candidates will be required to present a copy of their TSC Registration Certificate or a print-out from the TSC online portal, a copy of their National ID or Passport, KRA PIN certificate, two recent passport-size colour photographs, and a National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) card where applicable.

    Applications should be submitted online through the Commission’s website www.tsc.go.ke under the “Careers” section or via teachersonline.tsc.go.ke. The portal will open on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, and close at midnight on Monday, September 9, 2025.

    The Teacher Internship Programme is a one-year initiative aimed at equipping and sustaining the competencies of teachers entering the profession. It targets unemployed registered teachers and places them in learning institutions where their skills will be enhanced through mentorship, coaching, and exposure to practical classroom experience.
